Legacy of Narowal is historical Narowal is situated western bank of Ravi river, and the northern city of province Punjab Pakistan. Narowal is a part of Gujranwala division also. kilometres area Narowal is located northeast of the province Punjab Pakistan and its distance from Capital of Punjab Lahore is approx 96km .the west side of Narowal is touch with Sialkot 

city, Sheikhupura in the north, most surprising its east border is attached with Gurdaspur Indian Punjab and also kathua district of IOK because Narowal is also known as the Gate of Kashmir

FOUNDATION

The word "Narowal" 900 years ago it was derivated by the name of a landlord who was Naro Singh Bajwa, at the beginning it was just a town of 22 Villages, under the British rule, Narowal was just town of Raya Kha's tehsil of Sialkot District. in 1992 Narowal become a District and three Tehsils are under it Narowal Tehsil, Zafarwal Tehsil and Shakar Garh Tehsil

People of Narowal

80% of people of Narowal is Punjabi, Mohajir are 19%, Pathan and other is only 1% are live in Narowal. as we know Narowal is an agricultural city so most people are connected with the profession of agriculture and other small industries. papulation of Narowal according to 1998 census was 1,256,097 and only  12.11 was urban people and according to the Sensus 2017-18 population of Narowal District is 1709757 people, Narowal TEHSIL 596,565people,Shakargarh population is 82294 people and Zafarwal tehsil 39251 people are counted overall Narowal District Consist of 1319 villages

Pir Syed Jamaat Ali shah

A great and well known Religious leader Pir Syed Jamaat Ali shah Sahid also belong to Narowal(1834-1951).He was highly admired by Alama Iqbal he was a very active a supporter of Tehreek e Pakistan. he told his followers to join and stand with jinnah's vision for Pakistan jamaat Ali shah also supported the Aligarh Movement and give funds to it and he also was the head of All India Sunni The conference, He always urges his followers o worship of Allah and Love Prophet(S.A.A.W)

 

FAIZ AHMAD FAIZ

Faiz Ahmad Faiz was born on 13 Feb 1911 in Narowal's village Kala Qader he was a famous Urdu poet and author in Urdu and Punjabi language Faiz also known by name of "a man of wide experience" because he was also a teacher, army officer, journalist, a trade unionist and finally a broadcaster, Faiz was also nominated for Nobel prize in literature after partition fazi become the editor of Pakistan Times. in recognition of Faiz's matchless work, Govt of Pakistan awarded him with the nation's highest Civil award"Nishan e Imtiaz" after his death.

 

AHSAN IQBAL

Ahsan Iqbal was born in 28 march 1962 in Narowal he is a well-educated politician. he belongs to a political family, He started his political career in 1993 as a president of student union from a university. The first time he elects the member of national assembly NA-117 Narowal and he is part of PMLN also came to power for the first time and he was elected deputy chairman of planning commission of Pakistan, chairman Pakistan Engineering Council and was also a chairman for the National Steering Committee nowadays he is a general secretary of PMLN

 

IBRAR UL HAQ

Ibrar ul Haq born in 21 July 1969 (age 51) in Faisalabad but then his family settled in Narowal.Abrar is a well-educated person. Ibrar ul Haq is a famous pop singer and also known as a politician in 1995 album Billo De Ghar sold out over 40.3 million albums worldwide. and that what made him famous, Ibrar also head of Sahara for life trust a non-profitable organisation that provide the health facilities Nowadays he is chairman of red crescent society Pakistan he started his political career in 2013 by joining Pakistan Tehreek e insaaf,Nowadays he is chairman of red crescent society Pakistan
