Tourism needs three essential elements, tourist, sight and interest. Tourism needs tourists attraction and recreation. Tourism helps to explore the universe. Tourism helps to discover Nature. Tourism can only be suitable if it is carefully managed. Tourism has its economic and social effects. Tourism has to determine factors that demand individual, economic, geographic and destination factors. Tourism can bring many social and economical benefits. Tourism creates jobs. Tourism helps in business also. Traditionally, tourism was regarded as a commercial economic sensation.

Northern areas of Pakistan spread over 72,496 sq.km. The mountainous heights varying from 1000m to over 8000m, the valleys of Gilgit, Hunza and Skardu recall Shangri-La. The cultural patterns in the region are as interesting as its topography. The tourist enjoys and like their typical costumes, folk dances, music and sports.

Geographic Features:

The Khyber pass in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through which
conquerors from Afghanistan and Iran entered India, is a natural sight that reflects history. Murree, Ayubia, Swat, Kaghan and Naran in the north are fresh and cool like open nature. Kalam and its famous Mahudan lake in the north are paradisiacal in natural beauty. The Saiful-Maluk Lake is close to Naran, the highest and beautiful lake ever. Natural beauty, in all its forms, is offered by the mountainous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, its valleys, lakes and streams.
