Rohtas Fort

This is the best fort in Pakistan, which is also known as Qilla Rohtas. This fort was constructed by the famous King Sher Shah Suri in 1547 A.D. it is located in Pakistan’s most popular province, in Punjab, on the GT road. This fort is situated in the town of Dina, near Jhelum city. The circumference of the fort is 4 km and it took over 8 years for completion.



Derawar Fort

This fort is just near Bahawalpur city
and the whole area is famous for its historic monuments and forts, one of the largest square type fortresses in the country. This stronghold is the largest and well renowned magnificently sustained fortress of Cholistan. The walls of this fort are 30 meter high and have a circumference of 1500 meters.  This strong fort is standing over the semi-desert, is visible from miles around. This fort was the residence of the royal family of Bahawalpur and was constructed in 1733.



Ranikot Fort

This fort is renowned for its great wall of Sindh. This fort is situated in Jamshoro District and is a talismanic wonder of Pakistan. It was built in 836 A.D but was also reconstructed in 1812.



Lahore Fort

Lahore Fort is also known as Shahi Qilla. This fort is located in the heart of Lahore which has its own strong significance in the construction of the Mughal empire. It was built by Emperor Akbar and it is still in very excellent condition. Lahore Fort and Shalamar Garden are included in the list as World Heritage Sites in 1981 by UNESCO.



Bala Hissar Fort

Bala Hissar fort is located near Peshawar city, which was the place of Afghan kings in early 19 century. The fort has seen good and bad times during war season, which causes destruction of this fort. But still, it is preserved in a reasonably good situation which is the cause of influencing visitors.



Red Fort

This famous fort in Muzaffarabad is also known as Muzaffarabad Fort. The Chuk rulers of this area initially started its construction but it was later on completed by Sultan Muzaffar Khan in 1646.



Altit Fort

This ancient fort is located in Hunza Valley and it has a history of nature that creates a majestic spell for the visitors. The rulers of Hunza constructed it 1100 years ago for residential purpose.



Baltit Fort

Another ancient fort just near Altit fort is also on the tentative list of World heritage of UNESCO. This fort is 700 years old fort. This fort was altered and rebuilt over many times.



Skardu Fort

This fort is situated in the Skardu Valley which used to be the residential place of the kings of Skardu.it was built in 16 century.  Because of its beauty and charm, Emperor Mughal Aurangzeb tried to capture it but failed.



Quetta Fort
